We have recently been learning about having Growth Mindsets rather than Fixed Mindsets towards our learning. It's all about strengthening the neurons in our brains by repetition and practice. This Sesame Street song talks about Growth Mindsets and 'The Power of Yet'. Check it out!

Mandarin Lessons

The Senior Syndicate have been lucky enough to have Jim come into our classes to teach us how to speak and write in Mandarin. We have so far learned how to say hello, count up to 99 and our birth dates. We can't wait for Lesson 3 next Monday!

Travel Expo Winners

Congratulations to the Room 5 Singapore group who received the most votes for their holiday package, coming in First Equal with a group from Room 2. Well done Senior School for all of your hard work.

2016 Sunnyhills Senior School Travel Expo

Throughout the term, each student in the Senior School earned 'Hills Bills' for being awesome Sunnyhills students. During our inquiry time over the last few weeks, we got to channel our inner travel agent and design holiday packages (with different budgets), for various countries in Asia. This week was the Senior School Travel Expo, where each student got to choose a holiday package to spend their Hills Bills on. Strike Percussion

Sunnyhills School was lucky enough to have three people from Strike Percussion to come and perform for us. They were incredible!  Room 5 made a Padlet showing our favourite parts of the show. Check it out here or watch the clips below.

Breakout

Today Room 5 had the challenge of using clues hidden around our classroom to help us to prevent a jewel heist. Everyone had to work together to solve puzzles and open locks. We even earned 2,000 Hills Bills each for using our problem-solving skills to 'Breakout'!
